SMARTTIS 2023 - Smart Tourism and Information Systems

In SMARTIS 2023, an approach to the Digital Transition applied to the Tourism Sector is imperative. The main objective is to enable a discussion resulting from the intersection of these two domains.

The COVID-19 outbreak is having a devastating impact on the global economy, with the tourism industry being hit hard by the pandemic containment measures. In Europe, the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR) is being implemented and one of the three main axes is the Digital Transition. The question that arises is how technologies can revitalize and boost tourism, in a context of a true digital transformation?
